The Portland Metro Photographic News inaugural Student Gallery exhibit is a presentation of winning images from the recently completed student competition at the University of Portland. Patricia Bognar, instructor of photography and Gallery Curator at UP, has assembled these photographs that represent this semester's work by students of:
- Introduction to B&W Photography (a basic beginning darkroom course)
- Introduction to Color Photography
- Photography II (advanced darkroom work including: theme work, printing on fiber papers and toning, darkroom processes of multiple exposures, pushing/pulling, paper negatives, solarization, etc.
- Creative Photography (alternate processes like pinholes, holgas, plastic panorama cameras, cyanotypes, Polaroid image and emulsion transfers, etc.)
